Specific information about the website

Use of a newsletter page

When registering for our newsletter, you provide us with your e-mail address and optionally other data. We use this information exclusively to send you the newsletter. The data you enter when registering for the newsletter will remain stored by us until you unsubscribe from our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link provided in the newsletter or by sending us a message to this effect. By unsubscribing, you object to the use of your e-mail address.

Furthermore, we use your e-mail address, which we receive in connection with the sale of a good or service, exclusively for direct advertising in the form of our newsletter for our own similar goods or services, such as those ordered by you, unless you have objected to this use. You can object to the use of your e-mail address at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates. Your objection (and thus the cancellation of our newsletter) can be exercised by sending a corresponding message to our e-mail address (see imprint).

Usage data

When you call up our web pages, you transmit data to our web server (out of technical necessity) via your internet browser. The following data is recorded during an ongoing connection for communication between your internet browser and our web server:

Date and time of the request
Name of the requested file
Page from which the file was requested
Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.) Web browser and operating system used
Complete IP address of the requesting computer
Volume of data transferred.
For reasons of technical security, in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server, we store this data for a short period of time. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions about individual persons on the basis of this data. After a short period of time at the latest, the data is anonymised by shortening the IP address at domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a relationship to the individual user. The data is also processed in anonymised form for statistical purposes; it is not compared with other data or passed on to third parties, not even in extracts.

Use of own “cookies” required for the website display

This website uses its own “cookies” to store settings required for the website display (“cookies” are data records that are sent from the web server to the user’s browser and stored there for later retrieval). No personal data is stored in our own “cookies”. You can generally prevent the use of “cookies” if you prohibit the storage of “cookies” in your browser.

Use of Google Analytics with the consent of website visitors

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), based on the consent of website visitors. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. We would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics only after prior consent has been given and with shortened IP addresses in order to exclude direct personal reference.

Google Remarketing via Double Click – with the consent of website visitors

We use the remarketing function of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). This function is used to show interest-based advertisements to website visitors as part of the Google advertising network Double Click. The browser of the website visitor stores cookies for this purpose; these cookies make it possible to recognise the visitor when he or she visits websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these pages, the visitor can then be presented with advertisements that relate to content that the visitor has previously accessed on websites that use the Google Remarketing function. If you do not want the remarketing function, you can deactivate it by making the appropriate settings.

Google Maps – with the consent of the website visitors

This website uses Google Maps to display interactive maps and to create directions. Google Maps is a mapping service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA. By using Google Maps, information about the use of this website, including your IP address and the (start) address entered as part of the route planner function, may be transmitted to Google in the USA. When you call up a web page on our website that contains Google Maps, your browser establishes a direct connection with Google’s servers. The map content is transmitted by Google directly to your browser, which then integrates it into the website. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data collected by Google in this way. According to our knowledge, this is at least the following data:

Date and time of the visit to the website in question,
Internet address or URL of the accessed website,
IP address, (start) address entered as part of route planning.
For the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Google, please refer to Google’s privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de).

YouTube videos with the consent of website visitors

We have embedded YouTube videos on our website, which are stored on the servers of the provider YouTube and can be played from our website via an embedding. The embedding of the videos takes place with the option for extended data protection settings activated. When you play these videos, YouTube cookies and DoubleClick cookies are stored on your computer and data may be transferred to Google Inc, Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, as YouTube operator.

When playing videos stored on YouTube, at least the following data is transmitted to Google Inc. as YouTube operator and operator of the DoubleClick network according to the current status: IP address and cookie, the specific address of the page called up from us, system date and time of the call-up, identifier of your browser.

This data is transmitted regardless of whether you have a Google user account via which you are logged in or whether you do not have a user account. If you are logged in in this way, Google may assign this data directly to your account. If you do not wish the data to be assigned to your profile, you must log out before activating the play button for the video.

YouTube and Google Inc. store this data as user profiles and may use it for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or designing their websites to meet your needs. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (also for non-logged-in users) for the provision of needs-based advertising and to inform other users about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and to exercise this right you must contact Google as the operator of YouTube.
