Potential of Brazil for German Companies

Brazil is a global leader in renewable energy and a key player in the green transition. With its diversified and predominantly renewable energy matrix, Brazil offers German companies a unique opportunity to innovate, expand, and contribute to sustainable development in the electric power sector.

Explore Brazil's Renewable Energy Potential

Global Renewable Energy Leader:

Brazil generates 93.1% of its electricity from renewable sources, including hydropower, solar, wind, and biomass, setting a benchmark for sustainability.

Booming Energy Sector and Innovation:

With a record-breaking 18.7% increase in installed electricity capacity in 2024 and over 157 energy tech startups, Brazil is driving advancements in renewable energy and decarbonization

Green Hydrogen and Clean Energy Potential:

Brazil’s abundant renewable resources position it as a global hub for green hydrogen production and derivatives such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and green ammonia.

Government Support and Incentives:

Tax exemptions, financing programs from BNDES and ANEEL, and Latin America’s largest energy R&D investments make Brazil attractive for foreign investors.

Strategic Infrastructure and Export Advantage:

The National Interconnected System ensures energy security, while strategic ports and a robust logistics network enhance trade and global energy exports.
